Dealer is FOS or mis-informed.
The install is super easy.
I got my changer from Steve Diamond (eurobuyers - see banner ad) and also ask for the little brackets needed.
Then look at my page for pictures. Take out the left rear tailight panel, remove 2 trim plugs, swivel the panel outta way, and bolt in. One hour or less.
: I have on order 328i w/NAV Fold Down Seats etc...
: My dealer told me today that the labor cost for a CD changer install would be $332. They said the whole bracket assembly would have to be changed out. I seem to remember someone saying that all you needed was a couple screws and the bracket was already installed for the CD. I think the location for the NAV is on the left side and the changer mounts above the NAV system. Does this sound right? Is there someone out there that is willing to help me with the install via e-mail? I don't think the dealer is correct in saying all this stuff has to be removed...
: Thanks in advance!
