I'm happy with my 1999 328i sedan Premium Package. I don't want the bone-jarring ride that comes with the Sport suspension on U.S. roads. If the U.S. had well-maintained roads, I would get the Sport package for better handling.

Another reason I went with the Premium Package is the higher ride height. If I had the Sport Package, the underside of my car would scrape the road on many driveways, potholes, etc. Even the regular/Premium cars will scrape some curbs when parking.

The main weakness of the Premium Package to me is the Michelin MXV4 tires. Little handling or cornering, no wet traction, etc. Today, I ordered some performance tires from the Tire Rack (thanks, Eddie!). That should take care of those problems!

As far as the Premium Package accessories go, the automatically-adjusting mirror and wipers don't work very well. I want them to respond much earlier. And the mirror assembly is huge, which blocks too much of the windshield for tall drivers like me. If I were to do it all over again, I'd start with a regular 328i (no package) and add just the luxury features I wanted.

I hope this helps!

: I'd like to hear from some Premium Package 32Xi owners that actually like their cars. Reading the posts on this board make me believe that without the sport pkg, this car is simply terrible. Are the differences noticed during everyday driving or just when driving "hard"
