: : : Does the dealer give you the discount or does it come from BMW??

: : : : In 1995, I really wanted an M3 sedan, but BMW said they were not going to make it, or import it. I bought a 1995 325i sedan instead. In 1997, BMW brings over the M3 sedan. My friend wants my 1995 sedan, so I sell and buy the M3 sedan. In 1999, BMW discontinues the M3 and talk of the new E46 M3 with 340 hp begins. I panic because I feel the resale value of the E36 will go down the tubes when the E46 M3 appears. I luckily sell my car for almost what I paid for it in 1997. Now I'm without a BMW. I can't wait until the end of 2000 when the E46 M3 appears, and besides I would want a sedan. Well my brother tells me that if I buy a new 328i sedan, he will buy it from me (I take very, very, very good care of my cars) when and if the new M3 sedan does appear someday. So here I am: new 2000 328i, and it's already presold. E46 M3 sedan...I'm waiting. Until then, I love the E46 328i sedan.
: : The $1000 rebates come from BMW as an incentive for being a BMWCCA member for at least a year. The program started in 1995, and has continued every year. The rebates run from $500 to I think $2000, depending which model you buy.
