: I've had my car for about 3 months and I've driven it pretty hard, and found it to handle even better than it's reputation. Many a time, I've hit a 90 degree turn at 50 mph to try beat a traffic light. The key is to NEVER, EVER, hit the brakes during a turn. I usually just keep a light throttle the whole turn. In really tight situations such as the ones mentioned, you can actually feel the car shifting its weight to help you corner better. Another thing is to never do this when the conditions are slippery. Once I was simply taking a 50 or so degree turn at 35 mph and I slipped all the way into the other lane. The conditions were wet and I had asc off. Anyway, just some thoughts. I think in general the 3 series handles exceptionally; sometimes things just happen.
