The dealer has access to a computer database that lists out details on the car, including production status, VIN number (eventually during production process), options on car, and colors. If they do it right, even your name will be in the database. This database can be checked as many times as needed during the order process, although it may actually be updated only once a week or so. If a car comes in with different specs than were ordered, and it wasn't the factory's fault (and it almost never is), then the dealership is at fault. But an informed customer can prevent these problems also. Ask for a copy of this order/status sheet printout for your ordered Ci !
