SHOULD I CANCEL ORDER? (archive)

With all the complaints and stories about part failures and part replacements and the uncertainty about safety (go to the E46 archives of bimmer.org, type "crash test", and review the info--the BMW UK site highlights the virtues of the side head airbag but buries information on full frontal), I'm having serious second thoughts about cancelling my 323 order. Further, the www.edmunds.com long-term road test sounds like their views of the car are changing month by month, becoming less favorable as systems continue to fail. The Volvo T-5 turbo is a nice runner up, has about 55 more horses than the 2.5 BMW engine, handles well, and is one of the safest cars on the road.
