: I have been checking the archives and reading up on a lot of problems on the E46. I'm particularly concerned by the reports of "flat tires." This seems to be happening to quite a few cars, like the guy who had a bolt removed from his tire. He said that this happened about 20% of the time, whenever he drove through a construction area. The first time it happened, he had less than 10 miles on the odometer and was on his way home from the dealership! And the dealership gave him a hard time about it! Then there was the guy who drove through a tire shredder the wrong way.

: I'm very concerned about this. Apparently BMW NA refuses to publicly acknowledge this as a problem.

: What to do? Please tell me how to live my life, at least until I grow a pair and/or bump my IQ up 50 points, at least to the level of understanding that messages on this board are not a statistically relevant sample, and that people reporting a similar symptom doesn't necessarily reflect a design defect.

: In addition, I'm completely ignorant of the fact that a dissatisfied customer will complain 10 times as much as a satisfied customer will spread good will, and that the Internet is a forum custom-made for anal-retentive whiners and losers, with a loose grip, if any, on reality.

: I may have to buy an Acura TL!

: PS: What color should I get my car in?
