I havent put front plates on any of my previous cars, and I live in California (Bay Area). I have been pulled over twice for speeding in the past 3 years and the cop never even mentioned anything about the missing plate (and he even looked in the front too). I wouldn't worry about it, if you don't like the look of the front plate, don't put it on. If you get a fix-it-ticket...who cares? They don't count as points on your record.

I will NOT be putting a front plate on my 2000 323Ci when it arrives in November.

My .02 cents.

: Ok ... so what's the deal? I don't like the front license plates and would prefer not to have them fixed. Do I have a choice in California (sfo bay area)?
