Well my wife and I finally ordered our 323Ci yesterday at one of our local dealers in Houston (black/gray, sport premium, steptronic, leather, xenon, & HK). Folks the Houston market is extremely tough to negotiate a deal however, I'll share my experience in the sales process. After two guest drives(323I and 323Ci)our preference was the 323Ci. I prepared a typed proposal that listed the MSRP of the car and the options we wanted and in another column I supplied the dealer invoice on the car and options respectively. I summed up both columns and indicated how much the car was being sold over invoice and also listed our proposed offer of 2000 dollars over invoice. The salesman had that "that dog won't hunt" look on his face as he viewed the proposal. Of course he talked with his manager and came back with their offer of 2500 over I asked that we split the difference at $2250 and they agreed. One thing to watch out for is the dealer advertising fee of $400 which isn't listed anywhere until you deal which caught me off guard. Overall the process was smooth and my wife and I are excited about her first BMW and my third. Hope to see you on the road in late December-January. Take care and safe driving.
