Office 99 doesn't exist. The versions that are available are Office 97 (PC), Office 98(Mac), and Office 2000 (PC), maybe the Office Y2k+1 will be the Mac version...

I have been able to open the spreadsheet in office suites older than O2K. I wrote it using O2K and opened it on my older machine with O'97 and didn't have any problems. They didn't change the file attributes so that it doesn't matter what version of Office you have as long as it is newer than Office 97.

Have you tried to do a "save link as"?

I know that Netscape gave me a few problems with certain links, ie some of my clients had Netscape, and when I tried to apply NTSP5, it could not open the link to execute the program. It might have something to do with the settings in Netscape. I didn't even bother with it at the time.

: anybody else having problems? I just can't seem to view the xls file (using netscape communicator and office99). btw, I am able to view *other* xls files (checked on a couple of sites at work).
