Hi,
I am seriously considering a BMW 323 and have been
following the posts here for a while.
I had a few questions and would appreciate responses.

(1) BMW does not come standard with an alarm system and
I was thinking of getting one AND/OR getting lojack.
I wanted to know whether it is good to get both the
lojack and the alarm or just lojack.
Also, this is one place the dealer can make a tidy profit after one has done a tight negociation on the rest. Do you have advise on pricing?

(2) The extended warranty on the BMW 323, is it worth
getting it? I do plan to buy the car and keep it atleast for a few years. Again this is another place
where there is little information about pricing and a
place where the dealer makes a good profit.
Do you know of places with competitive price listings
for extended warranties? I live in northern New Jersey
and Geico does not serve this state.

(3) I have been concerned about reliability given
some of the posts. Though this might not be a statistically significant sample, it is alarming by the
nature of the posts. Any comments?

(4) I have also seen posts about bent rims with the
sports package. Unfortunately the dealers only had
the premium package for test drives (all 3 dealers I
went to) so I dont know how the sports package drives.
So, I was debating sports vs premium and would
appreciate comments/inputs.

thanks,

SD
