In Reply to: Help, my car get rear end by a pickup truck. posted by Kent on October 18, 1999 at 08:20:35:

your car gets fixed as good as new then how will anyone know it had an accident when you trade it in? Im confused?

: I was at a traffic light, waiting for green light, when this Chevy pickup (4x4 Z71) plunged right into my rear. The trunk's lid and rear bumper are damage which can be fixed; however, what's about the lost in value. My 328i only have 3000 miles on it. My dealer indicated that the accident will set me back $2K below trade in value. Is this true? Also, is there anyway I can made the other car's insurance to pay for this depreciation? Any helps would be appreciate? Thanks
