Hi there!

I have had my 2000 323i for about 10 days and have been dealing with my local dealer (which has been a nightmare experience so far) to try to find out if the broken speaker ring on my rear door is replaceable under warrentee. The service manager said no it was not since someone had broken it off. I do not know if this is the case or not, all I know is it is broken.

He said that the WHOLE speaker would have to be replaced. Is this the case? I thought that there was a speaker cover that could be replaced. He quoted over $250 which includes labor.

I also wanted to have a couple of preferences changed on my key remote. He stated that the process is pretty tedious and that it would cost $70. Why is this guy making it so hard?

Oh well. Thanks for your response.
