The BMW already pre-wired for CD changer and few other accessories. This means that if you install the OEM CD changer, the wires are already there. You "might void the warranty" if you use non BMW-approved parts. So your car warranty should be ok if you install the CD changer yourself

Maybe the Audi is not pre-wired???

: I'm considering buying a [BMW] OEM CD changer for my E46 and installing it myself. However a friend of mine said that last year when he looked in to the same for his AUDI A4, the dealer explained that installation by a party other than the dealer could potentially void the manufacturer's warranty on the car's electrical system. Has anyone heard of similar concerns from BMW owners and/or dealers?

: Thanks
