Usually, after 3 or 4 rounds of back and forth, the salesperson already knows that we more or less agreed on the price of the car. So, the last thing he/she wants is to have the deal break apart just because of a lousy $80.

You guys who have the salesperson throw in the floor mats without asking are lucky. Most of us have to ask.
