: I live in CT and I couldn't justify having a stupid winter accident because I was too cheap to buy snows. I would never be able to forgive myself. I bought a set of Yokohama Guardex 600 tires mounted on BMW Double-Spoke replica wheels for my 98 E36 last year from Discount Tire Direct. They were $750 mounted, balanced and delivered. Last winter they were only on the car from December 27 to mid-March. The best part is you divide up the miles between two sets of tires and you don't get your summer rims scratched from the winter sand and salt. It also gives you a chance to detail the each set wheels when they are not on the car.

: : What tire can I use all year round in CT that will give me the best dry ride without putting me into a guardrail if it should rain or snow? Thanks for your input.

I know a few shops around here that won't mount tires purchased from discount mail order shops. Who does?
