I think that Mike W hit it on the head when he said it is now a way for the dealers to make a little extra dough. Seems logical.
>: : I absolutely love my new 323Ci and think its a LOT of car for the money but there are a couple of things that I think should be standard in the car:
: : 1. BMW oem floormats....I know, I know...most people negotiate to get them "thrown in". But should you have to negotiate for floor mats in a car of this cost.? Me thinks not.
: : 2. Homelink system (garage door opener built in): Only about $150 dollars to purchase but even lower budget american autos include them as standard equipment anymore.
: : And actually the BMW one that I bought is not very good. The signal range is weak and you cant use it once you turn off the engine in your garage.
: : These are minor details, to be sure, but it seems to me that a car of this caliber should have these included.
: : Or....maybe Im just bored at work today? :)
