Starting a debate...
I don't want, or have any use for the universal transmitter. I wouldn't want it standard.
As far as floor mats are concerned. I think it should be a dealer installed option. The dealership I purchased from throws floormats in every car. (No negotiation neccessary.) Unfortunately I wanted rubber mats, and had to pay extra. I now have a complete set of velour mats in my closet. Floormats probably aren't standard because people vary their floormats preferences. Some may prefer rubber, velour, coconut, sisal or plastic. I guess it's a minor way to personalize your vehicle.
I actually wish my 328 had less standard options then it does. (I keep killing myself with the possiblity that I could've spent less on a 323 with 17" wheels, and upgraded 328 brakes and had a lighter (less bloated) car.)
