If I remember correctly I also had to pry out the side trim just enough to see the 3rd screw. You don't have to remove the panel completely, just use some force (don't break it) and move it out of the way.

: Sorry for brining this back up again, but the screw I'm talking about is not the one you're talking about. I was able to get that one off, but I'm having problems taking the OTHER bottom screw. Once again, the screw that I'm having problems with is if you're looking from inside the trunk outwards, its the 8oclock screw of the left light. If you're looking from the outside, its the 4 oclock screw of the right light. (basically, its the screw on the bottom that is closest to the side of the car). I can't even find it on the previous attached rear tail light.
