: The last update sheet my dealer faxed me was on 10/6 and it showed that production had started and had a complete VIN #. My dealer said that because it had a VIN it was nearly done and should be on a ship in the next few days. Called again last week, no change. Called again today and it shows the car completed on 10/13 and waiting for shipment. Salesman said that they don't get staus codes after the car is done (is that true) so I can't check what stage of shipment it's at. I started to get a little upset over the fact that the car is done and just sitting there so he said that many times the status sheets have not been updated for a few days and he has even seen cars show up on the lot (not neccessarily BMW's) that still show waiting for shipment on the status reports. So is all of this normal or should I be concerned that the car was completed over a week ago and still shows waitng to be shipped? According to WLNA's web site if I missed the Boats today then the next one is not leaving for a week. That would be two weeks from the date the car was completed! Any insight would be much appreciated. I would have more luck watching the continents drift than waiting for this damn car...ordered August 3rd!
