The AC system is driven by belt that ties into the engine. It is normal for the car performance level decreases when the AC is on. That's also why in a true sports car, there is no AC.

Car with manual trany work a bit better.

: the car seems to stumble with ac on when you take off from a complete stop it seems like it needs to gulp some air...what is the cause...any fix or bandaid
