: Just curious. I have had my car for about a month now and I kind of expected to hear something from BMW. I got a thank you note from my dealer and a "we are here to serve" note from the service department but nothing from BMW saying "welcome" "thanks for buying" or any of that other customer service follow up stuff you usually see.

: Is this the way they operate or do you ever hear from them?

: Thanks, Colin.

I believe it takes a little while longer. In my case, (delivery in May,) a letter and video arrived about 6 weeks after I bought the car.

The video was nicely packaged, and said 'Welcome to BMW...' on the cover. Inside, it said the best automotive company in the world. The video was pretty interesting too, complete with history, shots of production and design facilities, etc.

With what their sales figures have been like lately, I wouldn't be surprised if they're having trouble keeping up with the follow-ups.

Hang in there,
