If you look at the side shot, you can't see any crease marks on the "glass" section. There is however a crease mark just below and above the "glass" section. Looking at my mom's E36, it does not have those crease marks, just one smack down the middle of the plastic. Also, it looks a little too perfect and stiff to be plastic.

Just my observations.
