I bought a 99 328iA at Park Ave BMW in Maywood, NJ. The car is awesome but my experience with the dealer has been less than satisfactory. The sales guy was nice but not much help in trying to help me decide between the demo I bought and a new 00 328i. the difference was $4K. They negelected to tell me about the corporate program. While I know they aren't obligated it would have been nice to be informed.
Long story short, when I took delivery of the car it was far from detailed. When I got it home and went over it I found a stain on the back seat and door and scrathes on the car and to top it off the rear ashtray was stuffed with garbage. I told the dealership (sales guy) assuming that a BMW delaership would make sure that their customers were satisfied. I took it back at the dealers request for a full detail and to take car of the scratches. They did a full detail but that was it. They told me they would pick it up while I was out of town on business and dye the stain on the door.
Now in the interim I received a letter from the dealership saying that if I would not give them an excellant rating I shoudl call and speak to a specific person. I called her, voiced my dissatisfaction and then wrote a detailed letter which was both emailed to two people and faxed to the dealer principle.
Well on Monday they picked up my car along with a list of everything I wanted fixed. I was told the car woudld be retunred on Thursday (today). Well no car, no phone call, no nothing. One would think that the dealership would be concerned about their customers.
Well you have my two cents.. I guess we can add this to the rest of the unfavorable comments about this dealership. I only wish I had found this board before I bought the car.

: Just got a follow up call from the dealership about my purchasing experience with my salesperson at Patrick BMW.
: I rated the person as "good" but not excellent because I felt I was definitely treated much nicer with my previous purchases at the Lexus dealerships.
: An hour later, I got a call from my salesperson asking me why she was not rated higher... (now I thought it was bad for her to even call and put me on a spot!) and I explained all the things that bothered me. Then she then told me that BMWNA will call soon, and I should rate the dealership "Excellent".
: Hmmmm.... isn't the purpose of satisfaction survey is to get the "REAL" answers from the customers and improve?? If they treated me exceptional well, I would be more than willing to say "excellent" and don't need them to ask me to say so.
