: I was merging with the freeway this morningin typical LA traffic and I put my clutch in , shifted to neutral and coasted/brked for a lil bit to sqeeze in to traffic. As I decided to shiftinto 2nd gear, i realized my engine was dead...I looked at the dash and the tach and speedometer were at 0 and the warning lights were all on, like if you stalled. The thing is, i had the clutch down and the car was moving...There was no "thud" either to let me know I stalled it, i've been driving stick shift for 7 years and never had this happen before...Any reasonable explanations? or should I just bring it into the dealer? Any suggestions are appreciated.
