The label for 07 51 0002 545 says "BMW High Performance Synthetic"

Although, have the service dept looks up "07 51 0002 545" to see what it is.

: : My service manual said use BMW long life oil
: : (07 511 470 407), but my dealer said use BMW high performance oil (5W-40), 07 51 0002 545.
: : So witch one should I use?

:
: Your dealer is WRONG !!!!!
: High performance oil is BMW's conventional oil, not synthetic. Your E46 manual stipulates BMW long life oil (synthetic) for the extended oil change 15,000 mileage. Absolutely amazing that being BME dealer they are ignorant about this.
