: : : I have just ordered my 2000 323 BMW Coupe
: : : and still can't feel totally relaxed about the color that I chose.
: : : To tell you the truth, I did not like any colors on the new coupes except TITANIUM SILVER, but could not get it with SAND interior.
: : : Therefore I was left with the option of having to sacrifice the OUTSIDE color for the INTERIOR color that I wanted (I didn't like the grey int as much)!
: : : So then I decided on STEEL BLUE, it looked great in the broshure, but when I saw it in person, I thaught it had a purple-ish look to it that I didn't like.
: : : SO THEN, I chose TOPAZ BLUE and placed my order.
: : : Having seen the color only once in person, I am now finding my self once again second guessing the color I chose!!
: : : Does anyone out there have a new TOPAZ BLUE coupe
: : : that could make me feel better about the color I chose? THANKS!!!
: : My dealer has a Ci in Topaz, and I have a Ci in Ti Silver. The Topaz is very attractive. It is my favorite color for the Ci. I bought the Ti Silver, just because here in the NorthEast the winter weather makes dark cars hard to keep looking clean.

: Silver shows less of the stone chips. My wife has a silver camry and likes the silver for this reason. For me it's OK but I'm not wild about it, seems too restrained for me for a BMW, too businesslike. Also practically every car out there is silver. I can't count the number of times my wife has walked to the worng car in the parking lot! The other day she was trying to get into an accord! I prefer the red color family. I've seen the blue in the color you ordered and it is quite stunning. I think you will like it very much, but it will tend to show, as do all the darker colors, stone chips more. It's the price we pay for beauty.
