I also have a black on black 328Ci and I wanted to give you a tip about the handprints from closing the trunk--don't touch the exterior of the trunk! :) There are little cutout handholds inside the trunk lid. These are meant to be grabbed and pulled downward (pull your arm out!) and the trunk will close, with no marks on the lid. Next time you have the trunk lid open, say to yourself, "If I were an interior trunk handle, where would I be?" Then, stick your hand there--and that's exactly where they are (there are two--one on each side of the license plate). Hope this works for you. Email if you have questions.

: This car is a lot of fun. My last car was a Civic Dx hatchback, so i really appreciate the better handling and power (although the civic handling is not too shabby). I was going to get the sport package, but the handling seems great without the bigger wheels. I actually like the look of the 16"'s and my friends have complemented them so I'm pretty happy with them. Drove 2 friends from work around and the torque is great. Don't know exactly how the 323 feels (i'm sure its very nice too), but i'm very happy with the pickup with other people in the car. Its hard to keep the revs under 4.5K. :)

: The coupe's rear windows are pretty neat, i think its cool how they're motorized. Handling is very nice, as expected.
: The engine is sooo smooth. I don't mind not hearing it loudly. ymmv. Highway driving seems maybe a little less stable than i expected, and perhaps this is the floatiness that people have talked about, but its really not super noticeable. I have to check the tire pressure .... Again, it feels like you're very much in control, except that it doesn't seem to pull to center. Instead, it maybe wanders a _little_. My civic definitely pulled to center.

: Stereo (basic, in-dash cd) is okay. Highs are fine. Lows are not great (definitely muddy). BUT, its really fine. I will definitely upgrade soon, since i had separates and a nice CD+AMP combo in my civic, which sounded better by like 50% than this setup. I'm pretty sure that the amp is the weak link. (very much hope that its not the preamp portion of the head unit, because then adding just an amp wouldn't help). haven't found the amp, if there is one, yet.

: Already have lots of handprints on the paint just from opening and closing the trunk. (black!) Already moved a bunch of boxes using the fold-down trunk area, and its very roomy, which is nice.

: The car looks great, nicer than any of the pictures i've seen.

: ps: i'll see if i can find someone with a digital camera so i can post pics.
