as an American living in Germany I drive the autobahns daily. I "average" 90-100mph just on short hops. Good roads are between Munich and Garmish, Rt 500 through Black forest(twisty and scenic) Autobahn 8/1 near Trier (Mosel drive better than Rhine). Small roads are fun for twisties. I do go 120-130 on longer trips when the chance comes. A secret Autobahn gem is A63 between Frankfurt and Kaiserslautern ( fairly new and very light traffic until close to Frankfurt) live near there, it's a favorite. You can Rent BMW's. Mercedes throughout Germany, most are lower models (i.e. 316, 318, C180, etc)but enjoy what ever you do. Here's my web for a taste.
