Well I spoke to Tech Specialists at BMW Northwest and BMW Bellevue, and the Tech Manager at BMW Seattle, and none of them were aware of either the park assist feature or the new fob. I have since written to BMW of N. America and am awaiting a response. Furthermore the Tech Manager at BMW of Seattle will respond once he does further research. One tech specialist remarked that this was a standard feature on the 5 series and numerous clients brought their cars in to disengage this function as it was ineffective and somewhat annoying. I thought that was interesting. Until then I suppose I could use the power side mirror switch to lower the mirror and the memory button to return it to original or stop parking in parallel spaces... ;-)
