I will check with my dealer, and see if they think a quart in the first 4k miles is odd. It has been quite cold here lately in Connecticut, and wonder if that would have any effect. I do not see any signs of a leak, and the car is running great. I do a lot of highway driving, but used the car around town during break in. I also hardly ever use the cruise control, and don't tend to drive at a steady speed, as I run with the ever changing flow between CT, NY, NJ and MA.

The manual does not indicate how often the car should need oil, and from past cars a quart every 5k miles would be normal. Unsure, whether this is normal for a 328, however, and would appreciate more comments.
