323 Performace Upgrades?? (archive)

Has anyone modified any e46 323 model..either 2 door or 4 door? How much power is gained by adding such things as a chip, intake and exhaust? Also, is the power difference between the 323 and the 328 worth the extra money? Or would simply modifying a 323 be the better, more productive route to go?
