They don't really want us Internet buyers posting actual dollar figures online - it could create tension in their relationships with other dealers... Suffice it to say that they will negotiate at the levels we read about online as being "good deals."

: I too purchased a '00 323i recently in the Midwest. I talked with 13 dealers in the Chicago and Wi markets. Only two were willing to go below MSRP. It seems that I should have tried Iowa as well. This is the 2nd post I have seen that claims Iowa is the place to go. BTW, how much below MSRP were they willing to deal?
