: Everytime I get the chance, I try to see how much faster I can take turns and corners. So far, I've busted about 70 mph on a banked freeway onramp, but I started to hear the tires squeal so I let off, especially seeing as it was an elevated onramp and there was water about 50 feet below me. On normal city streets, I've taken sharp turns at about 40, almost busted a 180 one time--that was scary. I'm thinking if I can switch my wheels and tires to something that is a 35-series or below sidewall, I'll be in business... So how fast have you guys gone before breaking loose? I would also be interested in any fishtail stories!
In motorsport, its not how fast you can corner that counts. It's knowing where the limit is. Even F1 cars have limits and once crossed the line, you'll get crossed up. As good as the race car drivers are, they still get in trouble. Public road is not the place trying to find that limit. This might sound tacky, but do take caution...if you do that often enough...it will bite you one day.
