I have a Jack Russell Terrier and she's small enough to sit on the floor in front of the driver's seat. However, on long trips, we put her in her crate in the back seat. But for local drives to the park and such, she knows that when she's in our 328i, she's on the floor. In the old 325i, she's got full reign of the back seat. I usually give her a toy to chew on so that keeps her occupied while on the floor. Of course, if you're planning on "adopting" (i read the other post) a bigger dog, well, good luck ;-)

: I am considering purchasing a puppy and have a question for you dog owners:

: Has anyone purchased the seatcover that BMW makes for the E46? If so how do you like it? What areas of the rear passenger area does it protect? I am specifically worried about the wood trim on the rear doors.

: Thanks,

: Michael
