Depending on what model you get I would maybe think of the NAV option. As far as going I did it in 94 and would recomend it to anyone think of doing it. The price is aslo not set in stone, some dealers may negotiate on it but not many. It is really cool, the factory tour is THE best and theya re very nice when you arrive. When you get off the plane you can take a Taxi or the train to where you pick up your car. If you take the train (I would) it stops right in front of BMW and it was also next to my hotel in munich. They whole thing is something every BMW owner should do at least once if you can. The discount you get on the car does not realy pay for the whole trip but it helps alot. As far as paying, you do and do not have to pay on advvance. It is true that you must sign for the car at least 30 days in advance. You can do this a few ways. BMW just started doing Euro delivery for leases, which is cool. Second is you can finance, you also have to do this 30 days ahead. So at least you do not ahve to lay out all the money first. You also pay for a month when you do not have a car (when it is on the ship comming back) and many on this board use their BMW as a daily driver, so you may be WITH OUT a car for a month. Those are all the things I can think of right now, being ThanksGiving and all I am with my friends and family at home, NOT driving, but testing the 12yr Scotch a litttle too much. Good Luck. and Happy Turkey day.
