I have never done it myself, but this is how you do it.
The badge is attached with adhesive.

1. Use a hairdryer to heat the glue, then use fishing line or floss to cut through the wax.

2. After the badge has been removed, there will be some adhesive left over. Use 3M Adhesive Remover to get the rest of the adhesive off.

3. Wax the area you treated with the 3M Adhesive Remover.

P.S. I am thinking about debadging when I get my car.
