Unless it was a V6 before current design, the ES300 is a VVTi I6. Its a smaller version of the Supra Engine if I'm not mistaken.


: Check out the V6 in a Lexus ES300 sometime. The ones I have seen are every bit as smooth as the BMW I6. Also, the V6 in the new Honda Accords seems to be extremely smooth. (There seems to be a pattern here. Quality Japanese manufacturers seem to be able to get it right. The American V6's that I have seen just aren't that smooth, maybe due to cost cutting or a desire to keep using old technology and parts.)
