: I'm going for the 328i without sports pack. The only reason i can see for getting the package is if I intend on drag racing from each start, and trying to take every turn right to the edge. Plus, it's just an obbious fact that the 16" will give a softer ride. I'm going for the overall ride, drive, and quality that bmw provides. My biggest decision now is manual vs. auto. I have a friend who says it's sacrilege to buy a 3 series with auto. I think in the long run that I would once again tire of constant shifting in traffic and yearn for the auto. I'm most concerned about high perfomance in the middle speeds of highway driving, i.e. passing someone pronto on busy two-lanes, and I think the Steptronic would be more than adequate.
