The first thing you have to do is have web space somewhere. The picture must already reside on the net in order to post it.

Geocities gives web space for free. They would assign you a web page address, such as http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/1234

Once you are assigned an address like the one above, you can begin uploading files to your web page. If you upload a picture called "mycar.jpg" to your page, then the URL to the picture will be http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/1234/mycar.jpg

That is what you place in the "Optional Image URL field below."

If you want to post a picture that is on someone else's web page, simply right-click on that picture on their page and go to Properties. Netscape or Internet Explorer should show you the entire image URL.
