I think it depends on alot of factors(of which I don't know too many). But I'm 21 and drive a 98 M3. I had a stop sign deal like 1 year ago. My insurance agent said that if I get another ticket in the next 6 months, my rates will go from $1600 a year to $2400. I never drive in the carpool lane now.

: As mentioned in my post below, I got a ticket for
: going 82 in a 65. I have no reason to fight it (just
: plain guilty), so I'll pay for the ticket and go to
: traffic school. It takes 18 months for it to completely clear off your driving record. My question
: is this: Has anyone gotten another ticket within that
: 18-month period, and how much did your insurance go up?
: Anyone then get ANOTHER ticket after the second one?
: I'm more careful now, but I'd just like to know of any
: experiences out there in case I get caught again.
: Thanks!
