I talked to an installer at the Al and Ed's in Upland, and he said that he's done instals in a few new 3series cars, and that was a few months ago. Al and Ed's has a pretty good rep. Good Guys is also a respectable place to go. The car audio install guy at he one in Montclair has been there for as long as I can remember, and they work on all types of cars.
Try to avoid going to a Best Buy. Most of the people who work there are about 16, and I believe that goes back into the car audio installation departments too.
Please update us on what you end up doing, how much it cost, and how much of an improvement you get.
