I have a 99 328i with sport package (no sun roof, more stiff)I basically wanted a modern four door sports car. I will always opt for performance over comfort but with-in reason, it must be a daily driver. I feel the sport package is more then comfortable (on California roads)considering the improvement in handling, infact I feel there was no negative impact and I would have been disapointed in the stock suspension. My 328i w/Sport is smoother and quieter then my fathers 98 E420 with sport package (amazing considering it was $20K more and weighs more too).
But I've reciently bought a very clean 92 Miata and have fitted it with multi chassis braces, sway bars, intake and exhaust and now tend to use it as my daily driver (easier around town and gas mileage) and this is incedible for me to say but it mow makes my 328i feel like a big luxury car....heavy and soft. and the shift throws are miles apart (the BMW's is unmatched but the throws...) so now I feel I need to do even bigger sway bars, exhaust, intake and a short shift kit to the 328i... but it might me smart for me to see if many of the new M3 parts will fit my BMW....

: Here's the question of the day?

: Is the sport's package worth the negative impact the 17inch wheels have on ride comfort?

: Those who have the sports package, do you think the ride is rougher than the 16s?

: Those who do not have the sports package, do the 16 inches offer enough grip and is the ride smoother?

: Let the reply's begin:
