I guess I wasn't too clear, sorry. All I meant was that occasionally going over 4500 rpm isn't going to kill the car. I'm not anything close to racer, so me passing 4500 rpm AFTER break-in isn't going to be too common an occurence. The thing that sold me on this car was the handling, and you don't need to go fast to enjoy that.
About my youth showing, well, yeah, you're probably right on that. Of course, the rep who helped me is only 2 years older than me. She's the assistant to the rep who's been helping me during the process. I'm probably a little more inclined to believe her than I would her boss because sales don't really affect her salary, and the car's already sold.
And I plan on keeping this car for much longer than 3 years.
