I do not present this as coming from an expert. Streaking is usually the result of some oil base product. I could be the soap/cleaner you are washing the car in.
Two possible solutions....
a. Use a laundry detergent like Tide, but
rinse the car very well and use sparingly.
b. Try a dishwasher detergent that does not
leave streaks like Cascade. Again rinse
: This is starting to bug me. I cannot keep the outside of the windshield from having smears show up. I just washed and cleaned it and aimed it into the sun. It's clear as I would expect. However in 2-3 days it will start having streaks and smears show up on the outside. I've never seen this in any other car. Also the water appears to bead up like it would with Rain-X but I have never used Rain-X. Is there something the dealer added as a "protectant"? Also any hints on the best cleaner would be nice - I've tried ArmorAll Window cleaner, Griots garage and windex. All had the streaks show up a few days later.
