: Shopping last June, the best offer I could get, with lots of effort, was $2k over invoice. As a Costco member ($35/yr), I was directed to Ron Vasconcellos, the fleet manager at Concord BMW. No BS, no slime, just a flat rate of 6.5% over invoice. On a Y2K 323i sport/premium/leather/folding seats, that came to $2007 over invoice, with no effort.

: I'm not sure what the market is like now, but 5% sounds overly optimistic.

: : Is there anywhere in the bay area that'll give a 323ci for 5% over invoice? the guy at steven's creek laughed at me.

Try Motor Trend-Costco Program at www.motortrend-costco.com website; I bought a 328i for ~6-6.5% over invoice in Southern Ca---No haggling and a pretty good experience.
