328i vs. 328ci (archive)

I'm curious to see what people think about these two cars. Would love to hear from owners. Specifically looking at getting the sport package. On the 328ci, I believe the car is already lower than the 328i, does the sport package make it even lower? Does one car handle or perform better than the other with the same equipment? The 328i is less wide than the coupe. I test drove a 328i with the sport package and it was terrific. There wasn't a 328ci at the dealer with a sport package for me to compare. I also wonder if anyone has had any luck getting this car for under $1000 over invoice.
