: I'm curious to see what people think about these two cars.

:I have driven the 328i with sport and own a 328Ci without e.g. sport suspension is standard. The cars are very similar. The real difference is not in handling, it is in things like the width of the doors. The Ci doors are much longer, and feel much more solid. Not sure about wind noise on the i, but the Ci is shockingly windnoise free, even at absurd speeds. I do a lot of 80 mph highway miles, and the Ci is just a pleasure. The aesthetics are a matter of personal preference, I like them both. One factor for the Ci, however, is that the sport suspension is still pretty plush. The non-sport is to my way of thinking much too soft. The sport tires, however, are apparantly delicate if you hit a decent pothole. The board has lots of accounts of bent 17" wheels. And, on the i you cannot get the sport suspension with the 16" wheels. I drive into NYC fairly often, and if the car is more than a toy, and you don't often have passengers in back, I think the Ci is a better package.
