I was faced with the same choice when I got my car just over 1 month ago. I preferred the Ci's looks, and I didn't need the 4 doors, but I am a driving fanatic, and made a decision that which ever one I enjoyed driving more, I would get.

I test drove both, and preferred the feel of the 328i with SP over the 328ci with SP. It might even have been the particular cars I drove. I can't explain exactly why, although the handling just felt nicer (perhaps more balanced) to me.

Both cars are awesome though. If I were you, I would definitely drive both and pick the car that feels better to you, as opposed to listening to what I or others say on this BB. On the other hands if looks are more important to you, I believe most people think the ci looks better.

Good luck, and enjoy which ever one you get (let this be the toughest choice you have to make in life!) :-).

: I'm curious to see what people think about these two cars. Would love to hear from owners. Specifically looking at getting the sport package. On the 328ci, I believe the car is already lower than the 328i, does the sport package make it even lower? Does one car handle or perform better than the other with the same equipment? The 328i is less wide than the coupe. I test drove a 328i with the sport package and it was terrific. There wasn't a 328ci at the dealer with a sport package for me to compare. I also wonder if anyone has had any luck getting this car for under $1000 over invoice.
