Recommendation for winter snow tire/wheel combo? (archive)

Just bought a 2000 328Ci and live in New England. I am definately getting 4 - 16 inch snow tires for the rest of the winter. Anyone know what would look/drive well and wouldn't set me back more than 1000 for a set of four? Also, what is the best website to find tire/wheel combos at good prices?
